If a manufacturer's products fall within the scope of the European Union product safety directives and they wish to export and offer new products on the European Union market, the CE Marking on products is legally mandatory and is the only way to succeed.

The CE Mark on a product is a declaration by the manufacturer that the product complies with the essential requirements of all applicable legal regulations. The CE Marking requirements are addressed in different ways in the relevant directives.
