What is CE Certificate?

The New Approach Directives describe the level of verification that products require and how to do so. There are currently eight different modules covering different product ranges. After identifying the module that applies to the products, manufacturers must understand the requirements well and formulate a plan to incorporate them into their production processes.

What is CE Certificate?

If existing processes meet European Union standards, there is no problem, if not, significant changes should be made to the processes. In both cases, this has to be documented. After the production is completed and CE Mark is placed on the products, the prepared technical file must be kept for 10 year.

For manufacturers who are confident that the products meet the requirements and relevant standards of the New Approach Directives, the final step in the compliance process is to prepare a declaration of conformity. For each product covered by the directives that will be placed on the market in the European Union, the manufacturers must prepare a declaration of conformity. This document must be included in the technical file. This document is usually a one-page document containing simple facts. It tells the European authorities who the manufacturer is and which product the declaration covers. This document also describes which directives the product is covered by, which standards are applied, where the test results are recorded, and who is responsible for the company.

When all requirements for the CE Certificate are met, the manufacturer is legally entitled to place the CE Mark on the product. Normally, the CE Mark must be permanent and easy to see. The CE Mark with the part number, serial number and UL certification of the product is also placed on the product. UL certification is an approval for products by UL (Underwriters Laboratories), an independent product safety certification body.

In some special cases, the CE Mark may be affixed on the packaging of the product or on the user documentation instead of the product itself. Sometimes it may be impossible to mark a particular product, or it may require high costs or significant technical difficulties. In some cases, the shape and dimensions of the product may not meet the dimension and legibility requirements of the CE Mark.

There are also some criteria for the CE symbol. First, it must be non-deletable and non-editable. It is usually applied directly to the body of the product by molding or stamping. If it is made in the form of pressure, it must be resistant to staining when it encounters water and other substances. The CE logo must be at least 5 millimeters high. In addition, the letters used in the CE logo must be semicircular and C and E together. The original shape and dimensions of the logo are available in multiple formats on the European Union website.

Many products now require the CE marking before being offered to consumers within the European Union. This mark proves that the product has been assessed and meets European Union safety, health and environmental protection requirements. Certain products manufactured in or outside the European Union and then marketed in the European Union are required to bear the CE mark. The CE marking applies only to products covered by the European Union directives.

In order to place the CE Mark on the products, a technical dossier is required which proves that the products meet all requirements throughout the European Union. Producers are responsible for declaring compliance with these requirements. Producers must provide all necessary information and documents to distributors and importers.

Our company also provides CE Certificate services within the scope of certification services. Thanks to these services, enterprises are able to produce more efficient, high performance and quality products in a safe, fast and uninterrupted manner.

CE Certificate services provided within the scope of certification services are only one of the services provided by our organization in this respect. Many other certification services are also available.
